The Fabien Fryns Foundation (FFF) is located in the ultra-exclusive Alcuzcuz private estate located in the hills above Marbella in a 20 hectares plot filled with olive and pine trees and cork plantations, with views extending to the Campo de Gibraltar area and the Northern coast of Morocco. Originally a cork farm, the Alcuzcuz property has been in the same family for six generations, and the main house was last occupied by the celebrated interior designer Jaime Parladé (1930 – 2015) , Marques of Azpezteguia, who decorated homes for the most distinguished families in Europe, including the Rothschilds, the Bismarcks, the Duchess of Alba, the March and Abello’s, among many others.
Alcuzcuz’s main house was built in about 1850, complete with an adjacent chapel with an altarpiece whose Saint Joseph was very dear to the inhabitants of San Pedro and Benahavis. The chapel was fully functioning until Jaime converted it in a guest house in 1954. Residents of the FFF get the full use of the one bedroom guest house adjacent to the former chapel, which is now a 60 square meters artist studio.
The FFF is 10 min away by car from Marbella’s Puerto Banus, 30 min from Ronda and 40 min from Malaga airport.
